Physician Assistant

Job Title: HEALTHCARE PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT
Job Description: Provides general medical care and treatment to patients in health center under direction of Physician. Perform physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions of Physician. Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient’s clinical problems and health care needs. Records physical findings, and formulates treatment plan and prognosis. Provides written home-going instructions. Discusses case with Physician and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan. Prescribes or recommends drugs or other forms of treatment such as physical therapy, inhalation therapy, or related therapeutic procedures. Refers patients to Physician for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment.
Requirements: At least three years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant in an ambulatory care, occupational health, or emergency department setting. Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program. Licensed as a Physician Assistant in the State of Texas. Texas DPS license and DEA certificate. Board Certified as a Physician Assistant through the NCCPA or AAPA. Current CPR card from the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association. Appropriate certification to write prescriptions under the authority of the Site Medical Director, if allowed within state of practice. Positions are temp, temp to hire and direct hire.
Compensation: $10-$15+/hr, salary will vary depending on experience. Direct hire positions pay commissions.
